Can My Child go to a certain week of camp if they are entering that grade?

YES. We let you decide as the parent whether or not the week fits into your summer plans. For instance, a camper who is entering the 1st grade has the option of attending a day camp, or being an overnight camper during the 1st-6th grade week.

Can my child go to a week if he has just passed that grade?

YES. you as the parent have the option of picking the week you would like them to attend. For example. if your child has just finished 6th grade and wants to attend with their 5th grade friends, they are more than welcome to.

What if I can't make it to check-in between 3:00pm and 5:30pm on Sunday?

That's no problem. Please contact us with what time you think you will be to camp. Please call 320-245-2777, if you need to schedule a time.

What if I need to pick up my camper early?

You will have the opportunity when checking your camper in to sign up for early pick-up. We do know that life happens quick, so if you need to pick up your camper early please call us immediately at 320-245-2777, or leave us an email at glbcregistrar@gmail.com.

How do I get a hold of my camper while they are at camp?

Please call or email the camp if you need to get in touch with your camper. Do not come onto camp property and try and find the camper yourself. If you need to find your camper come to the office first, and we will guide you from there.

We also have a camper email that parents can send emails to during their camper's week of camp. The email address is only given out to parents, guardians, and emergency contacts, and will not be made public on our website.

Is there someone to give my child their medication while at camp?

Yes, we have a crew of staff members that work as our nursing staff to help administer medications.

If I want to send my child mail...

The address is 13222 Grindstone Lake Rd. We can not guarantee that your campers mail will get delivered from the US postal service while your child is here, and will return any mail that comes after your child has left. THE SAFEST way is to bring enveloped letters to put into the daily mail boxes during check in. PLEASE DO NOT PUT CASH INTO ENVELOPES AND SEND THEM TO CAMP. Grindstone Lake Bible Camp will not take responsibility for any lost or stolen money or mail.

How much money should I put on the canteen card?

We suggest between 20-30 dollars on their canteen account. We can limit their candy per day, but you will need to tell the canteen person at Check-In, so they can make a note of it on your canteen account.

Who are the counselors going to be?

The counselors name will remain a mystery until you come to check in, but our counselors are typically high school (15-18) to college aged (19-23) with a high focus on ministry and evangelism. They have all been prayed over, passed through a screening committee, and have gone through an interview process to assess their skill sets and have also been background checked to make sure they are able to work with kids. Their references have been checked, and they have all passed a counselor test including sections on the gospel, emergency procedures, and how to interact appropriately with campers.

What kind of activities do you provide?

We provide activities of all sorts. From water games, and swim time to Basketball rockwall and soccer. We also have the traditional games like capture the flag and lord of the rings. There is canoeing and kayaking, as well as a few chapel services a day and we do teach the creation story along with a basic outline of the old testament in order to encourage campers to dig into the Bible and discover what God has in store for them. We do not allow electronic devices(except in extreme situations) but have found a majority of the campers do not miss their technology or video games during the week.

My child is on a special diet (or has a food allergy). What do I do?

Due to the nature of camp we do provide separate meals for them, we also assess the need and do remove all ingredients due to the severity of the allergy. Please contact us via email so that we can better prepare for your child. Please email us at glbcregistrar@gmail.com.

If you feel inclined to send snacks with your child they can be distributed at the canteen.
